Champions for Quality Care & Education
“To support each other as child care administrators in providing quality programming for Wisconsin’s families.”

What is WCCAA?
The Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association (WCCAA) began in the spring of 1976 and hosted its first conference in 1979. A need for an organization committed to the promotion of excellence in child care administration is our ongoing motivation. WCCAA is active at local, regional, state, and national levels. WCCAA is represented on many advisory committees and boards and provides quality trainings throughout the year, including a statewide conference held in February.

PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS:

This topic will address the issue of Collaborative 4-K programs. Why is it important to get involved at the ground level?  How do we get involved? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a collaborative 4-K program within our program? What are the expectations of the center when housing a collaborative 4-K program? What are the rewards for the center when housing a collaborative 4-K program? What could the implications be for our programs if we do not collaborate? These questions and many more can be answered as these speakers tell the story of 4-K. Come and be informed – don’t be left out in the dark!

All meetings are open to any child care administrator or director who wishes to attend. The cost of the meetings is $5 for WCCAA members and unless otherwise noted, $10 for non-members.

Meetings are normally on the second Wednesday of the month and alternate between Green Bay and Appleton.
