has been putting together a data base for all those members that are
renewing and/or joining this year. Remember--Memberships are due We need your email in order to get you a copy of the minutes and upcoming meeting reminders! This really helps out with postage costs and helps to keep our membership dues at $20 per year. Gary
Lesperance announced our new newsletter coordinator, Laura Shallow! Thank
you Laura! The newsletter will be posted on our website each month. All were invited to view the wonderful website Gary has been working so hard at putting together! Region4.WCCAA.com. This is a wonderful new tool for our region! Thank you Gary for all your hard work!! Gary has received input from members already about subjects they would like to see addressed either at our meetings or at special planned conferences, workshops or seminars. All suggestions will appear in our newsletter and on our web site giving the author of the suggestion the credit. If you have suggestions please submit them to Gary. Gary announced a major opportunity. The major players in WI's 4K program (DPI, Head Start & Dept. of Workforce Development) have agreed to meet with the WCCAA Board. A brainstorming session with members of those State departments and the WCCAA board will take place. The session will address the concerns of WCCAA members about the very probable negative impact of the 4K program, as it is currently structured, on the quality of child care in Wisconsin. Laura Shallow from Shining Stars was then introduced as our speaker for the main topic of our day, Summer School Age Activities. Laura did a wonderful job and gave us many, many great ideas. Thank you Laura!! Those of you who missed our meeting really missed out! The next meeting will be April 12 beginning at 1:00. The topic is Marketing! Please bring your ideas to share! We will be meeting at our new Green Bay location, the Ramada Plaza Hotel right off the Oneida Street exit.
