Current Business:
We talked about the Regional Conference & had other committee updates. Gary updated us on his progress of putting together our group’s first regional conference. This will require a lot of time and effort. Please contact Gary to help!
We filled out survey cards to get more info about how our group shall proceed.
Gary demonstrated the wonderful web site he has been working so hard at putting together! The location of the site is region4.wccaa.com. This is a wonderful new tool for our region! Thank you Gary for all your hard work!!
All newsletters can be found on the web site. Check it out!! Thanks to Gary, Laura Shallow and Deb Komp for all their hard work in putting the newsletters together. They are looking for more volunteers to help them out so if this is an area in which you could participate PLEASE let them know.
Mary Madsen was introduced as our speaker for the main topic of our day, Collaborating Partners. Mary did a wonderful job explaining how this initiative started and how it has progressed thus far. Mary has been very involved in the entire process. We received handouts and were given our area contacts for Wisconsin Community Collaboration Coaches. Mary also advised us to check out www.collaboratingpartners.com for more information and resources. Thank you Mary!!
Our next regional meeting will be June 14, 2006, at the Ramada Plaza Hotel at 2750 Ramada Way in Green Bay (see website for map). The topic is Effective Interviewing and Hiring Techniques. Our speaker, Deb Komp, has over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. During that time she has worked as a Consultant in starting up 4 childcare centers, 3 preschools, and 1 kindergarten. Be prepared for the fall school year by discovering Deb's secrets in interviewing and hiring.
The first 10 who arrive will receive the door prize of a free full buffet. For everyone else the buffet is only $10 (drinks included). Lunch and networking start at noon.
